What grade of leather is used in this Boot?

Haix Protector for me, I'm on my 8th pair.

 

They require no maintenance and are like wearing slippers straight from the box.

 

I used to have real problems with my feet, chilblains and the like, I now never give my feet a second thought, they are always 100% dry, even when the rest of me is soaked to the skin.

 

They are expensive and rarely last more than 12 months, but are worth every penny in my book.

I agree all the way, out of the box just like slippers and very good support, I have lived in mine and really are the best I ever worn. They do last me longer than a year but all depends on where your working I suppose.

best boots ive had to date have been the meindl airstreams. have had this pair for just over 2 years now and they'e seen a lot of climbing in that time. to be fair they probably should have been retired several months back as one of the boots the sole has worn right through and you can put your finger in it....but they still dont leak. next boots i go will be the new stein quests

Still trying to get the Steins broke in. Hurting my heels as they are so stiff. Really nice for working with spikes though and you arent gonna twist your ankle.
