Tell the new groundie that the client has requested a tea order at 11am, then he goes upto the door and gives her the tea order without her offering! Always works.

ha!

guy i used to work with pretty much ordered a cup of tea every morning, before any work was started! :sneaky2:

Serious issue, this.

We quite often get asked at the start of a job 'Do you need electricity?'

'Only for the kettle!' with a cheeky wink usually makes for a nice day.

Has anyone else noticed that even a crappy job in harsh weather becomes OK if a kind customer is supplying fresh, hot, strong brews at timely intervals?

It is rather amusing as whenever we do any tree work near houses on the Trailways we always get a nice steady supply of teas, coffees, various cakes and biscuits. We even had one member of the public buy us all fish and chips one day. As we were doin such a sterling job in felling some horrid trees that leant over his house. We were so chuffed with his custom we cut all of the logs to his desired length and stacked them in his woodstore for him.
