Cheers for all the advice -will probably go with the BG 86 or summat similar as it is probably ott!

Thats all i use, had it 2 years from new and it's great. backpacks are a pain IMO, by the time you get it on and going on most jobs you could be half wat through it with a hand held!

anyone have husky backpack blowers?? im in the market for blower and can get a good price on a husky one whats the good and bad with huskys blowers?

I've got a husky back back blower and I'm not that impressed with it to be honest. It's needed a new carb and now it's got another fuelling problem, having said that mine may have just been a friday afternoon job.

On it's plus side it's better balanced than the stihl ones and quieter, but doesn't have quite the same power.

If I was replacing it, it would be a stihl blower......

Ha ha those little ass fart hand held blowers are crap you might as well get hair dryer cheaper, we use the br600 we can move small logs and children with it very handy for large jobs.

I find the little hand helds reck my hands vib where as the back pack is smooth never had a problem been using it since 07 solid still running spot on.

we have a br600 at work and its excellent at shifting stuff but exhausting to use, the force on the handle to hold is unreal. when we measured the vibration levels it came out as a 4hr max machine per day!

I have the makita 4 stroke equivelant and its lower vibes, lower pressure on operator to use but same wind speed so an all day machine. oh and some searching online saved me about 300 quid
