just the winch, i dont know if its that exact one, but looks similar. but it just gets fixed to the yacht, so you would need a mounting plate and ratchet strap like i said above

yeh stevie,, you're missing a few bits,, like the load rating,, and the handle,,, :-)the bearings they use are rated for specific loads,, depending on that rating will affect the price in a HUGE way,,

I thought that the GRCS uses a harken winch already. This new design looks like a slighly less heavy duty version GRCS so i Recon it will be less £. Maybe designed for lighter rigging jobs? Time will tell

Hence the reason why i asked in my title "new lowering device?" i was hoping someone knew about it as well, i stumbled upon a picture of it and thought it was well cool. i have heard it may be someone in holland producing them but i have no facts to back that up.

It's indeed from holland,it's a product off Kees Redelijkheid and me(Steven Ibelings)

 

it's a winch and bolard at once,you can lower from the outher "shell" and winch with the winch:001_tt2:

2 lines at once is also possible.

 

it's got a harken 46 selftailing winch on it.
