Does anyone use a Log Spike/Logeroon ?

I have tried most of them. I have two from Alan marshall Made in sweden or somewhere not cheap but better than the stihl imo . They were about £60 inc postage about a year ago. They have a red and gray handle. I can pull 20in stuff around on the ground 10ft long. Get it dug well in and you will be amazed what you can pull length ways. Just make sure you have nothing behind incase it slips out.

Just had a look they are there searched for logging tools on uk net they came up first went to page of tools there are 2 at the bottom they call them hookeroons

there's nothing worse than it slipping out........ especially when you've pulled a 'big one' !!!!!!!!!!!!

Have looked at the slappies on Clarks site,obviously the one with the toothed front edge is a lot more expensive - is it worth the extra money over the plain one?

I think the plain one is good enough, unless your wood is frozen. I have 2 of the plain slappies and they do me fine:thumbup:
