Q: Why are the AA only now asking these questions, surely this should have been looked at after last years show so the issues could be dealt with in time for 2010? Better late than never I suppose, perhaps they under-estimated the power of communication!:confused1:

I thought that as well Andy, there have been several ‘AA Arb Show’ threads knocking about for a fair while, all have more or less the same feed-back.

I fear tomorrow morning will be greeted with cans of over-priced beer and rip-off food and we have not been listened to.

Camping is the key.

If Bathurst Estate won't allow it, find somewhere that will.

St. Albans area would be reasonably central if a move is considered.

There is one possible site near a village outside St Albans that i know of, but surely you are not another who believes anything above the M25 on the map is North?

I think if the show was more "central" i.e. half way up the country, and had free entry you would get more northern attendees willing to travel. As it is there is too much choice if I wanted to travel 4 hours to a show, and the most expensive day out is not going to be my first choice im afraid

I'm from Northumberland mate. I think anywhere below Gateshead is South!

I used to live in St. Albans though, and it has excellent road and rail links north, is easy for the southern and London folks, and not too far up country for our West country friends.

Anywhere will ultimately be a compromise.

I think the Bathurst Estate is rapidly becoming a poor compromise because of the camping ban. If they run out of beer by day 2 again - "I predict a riot"!:001_tongue:
