wondering what people are thinking of charging,this season, for a locally delivered, CUBIC METRE, 95% oak, the rest, beech/hazel!!!! please dont reply with tonne bag prices, ton prices etc etc, im looking to find prices per cube, from people that understand what a cube is!!!!!!!!! i dont wish to sound harsh but ive spent 2 evenings looking through previous posts!!!!! many thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!:001_smile

In my dreams, £55 here, altho not all oak, but all hardwood and typically beech and ash with lesser degrees of syc, hazel, birch etc.

£100 is spot on for top end stuff around here.

 

Not sure how you can make money at your price TCD.

£65 a cube bag here not a lot of Oak mind full mixture, syc, beech, ash etc. over 5 miles min of 2 bags. all arb waste nothing bought in.

Around here every man and his dog has started producing logs but mainly softwood which if the price is low enough I can see hitting the hardwood market.

youd think so r/john but weve just come back from our local agricultural show, where we had a stand promoting our wood and trying to promote softwood alongside hardwood - the stove installers have really made it hard to push s/wood as theyve given it such a bad name to the joe public. we had such negative feedback from potential customers for softwood they only want hardwood - which weve got - dont get me wrong - but like you say r/john were going to have to go onto this at some point as hardwoods getting harder to source at a competative price - or it makes switching that oil or gas central heating back on cheaper than firing up your stove

£70 per cube hardwood....maybe even £75, plus delivery

£60 for softwood

 

sell lots of softwood to the ones that dont want to pay the price for hardwood

 

with softwood i have learnt......money talks

 

most customers come back for more too.

 

90% of customers cant tell the difference either, they just like the instant heat and big flames

Only sell in 2 cube loads which is £100 delivered locally.

 

This is 99% if not 100% hardwood.Not that anyone has ever asked around here that they prefer it hard or soft.

 

Although going to put it up this winter prob to £120.
