Yep still out surveying. The rain this year has hammered the butterfly numbers. Got to be doing a moth trap night fairly soon. Thinking about doing it on Saturday night.

went down to Rugby at the weekend and stopped off at Ryton Organic Gardens for a mooch, tis well worth a visit:thumbup:

when i first spotted em, did think they were mating but looked again and it was head to tail not tail to tail?:lol:?

 

That's damselfly lovin' for you. The male grasps his mate by the neck and she then bends her abdomen around and under his to form a heart shape while they mate. He then keeps hold of her while she lays her eggs on aquatic vegetation.

 

I bet that one's not in the Karma Sutra! :blushing:
