Hedgelaying pics

finally got back and finished this one ( posted some before pics on this thread ) would have liked to got a better line on the stakes but had a black pipe weaving its way down through the hedge making it harder than normal will try get some better pics when the top has been burnt up

Looks good :thumbup1:

 

What style is that? One of the Welsh styles I think?...I do something similar but I'd have the angle of the stakes going the opposite way to the pleachers, helps to lock things in place a bit. Plus binders are optional and only do a single row if needed.

 

I struggle to get a good line to the stakes. Always seems to be a stem,root or big stone in the way!! lol

south of england style brush both sides hard to get good pics as theres allot of top in the way lol may have some better pics if i look through them

The style I do is double brush too but half snedded both sides so to keep it at about a metre wide at the bottom but narrower at the top. That's to help stop too much snow collecting and collapsing the hedge. We get more snow up here than the tropical South :001_tongue:
