thanks @Stere yes it was a beach and thorn all grown in together hard going but 

the weather was crap  when it gets too wet for stock fencing we fill in with hedge laying 

 

the little topper is Solo / Alko 25cc

Mystery solved ! I had one of those back in about 1807 but it was yellow . No A.V. I seem to remember . Hope you are keeping well Andrew .
