been real warm thisweek, around 27c by 7.30, rising to 34c, then still 27c 930pm! almost too hot for type c's.

working on this old girl today, been a pleasure to work on, 99%roped off because of fence, hedge, wire, well, carport ect

the top blew out, flipped and landed on the house, with another branch hanging in the wind, climbed down the lodged limb swaying, nibbling little bits off, crane lifted the other limb off the house, akward to do at times as no center, my rope was about 6m from the new top, so guestimate the tree to 25m, maybe touching 30 before the damage. inspected another limb, found a 9inch hole i could get my arm in and a 4ft stick, so suggested pollarding

pictures dont do it justice im afraid:001_huh:

and monkeyd should be proud, youre big words finally got used:thumbup: convinced the boss and customer to retain the large split decayed stem for biodiversity, spot the Karabina resting on it.

then pics of a sunrise, and me with a good christian girl

tack sa mycka stevie, rob och old snake

david, the customer was over the moon with the whole job, safety was his no.1 priority, and trusted our/my advise after a quick inspection of the other limbs 100% . . . and insurance company agreed to pay for all the work over the phone! imo that was the best option for the tree . . . a fell would sure have been fun, but such a magnificent structure should be saved. reduction would just have looked daft. i hope it survives for a while. what age would you place it at factoring in its growing conditions??
