If user friendly is important to you in the hands on servicing sense ( field maintenance )and I say this without having a first hand experience of the tracked models mind you, I thought that the Schliesing was a well designed product. Just thought you might think of checkin out the tracked version in your quest for the real deal!

We've got a jensen . Good machine done a lot of work . Think they've changed the feed roll tension on the newer models . Have snaped two bottom feed roll shafts as it relys on a replaceable steel plate to surpport it . Didnt know about it the first time so when the plate got worn it snapped forgot to change it the second time . Also think the open gears are now incased so you dont have to grease them everyday .

I've used the biggest and the smallest of the timberwolf tracked chippers and have nothing but praise for them but the machines I've useed have all been hired in from Orange Plant so they have a good back-up service which is very good, for instance I had hired the 12" tracked machine and the nut on the discharge chute had worked itself loose and about 10 minutes after ringing to say the nut had disappeared there was a fitter putting a new one on!! but the I was only about ten minutes from the depot at tockwith.
