Sorry to hear that ben, dont want to sound nosey about the amount, but are we talking a few quid, or enough to send the boys round for?

Suppose it also depends on the circumstances, like did he intend to shaft you over- taking you on to get work done knowing he was going under- and how well do you know him? You done work before, and has he communicated with you?

I have been there recently and the guy was upfront with me, and offered to pay bits as he could.

Getting money out of someone who cant pay, or doesnt want to, can be a delicate process.

It was over £500.. So a big enough lump.. It is slighty complicated in the fact that he was building my extension, he's not quite finished and I guess I probably owe him more than he owes canopy.

Useless b@stard had loads of work, too much, he just couldn't run his business.. Blokes would turn up for 1 hr then drive accross town to another job. We had a door measured 3 times by 3 different blokes. I told him the size on the phone... We still haven't got the door!

I was owed £1300 by a small ltd co that went bust a couple of years ago. The MD was a complete arse about it until he found out that the house his brother lived in was owned by me and the gift shop that his cousin leased was also owned by me. Strangely enough paying me my money became a priority!:star:
