Oak before Ash, you're in for a splash,

Ask before Oak, you're in for a soak.

At the moment it's looking like a tie :001_unsure: What happens then?

Gosh, this is early for swallows. It's always lovely to see them arrive again and hopefully you are right that it's the sign of a good summer.....long overdue. I just hope the swallows don't travel north too quickly as we are forecast snow today! :001_smile:

Wether splasy or soak

Brit summer's still a joke

I will just settle for longer days. Dark mornings / evenings make me dooooown.

(do you think swallows use the long-range met office forcast, or are the african forcasts better?)

could be in for a nice long hot summer, weather is following the pattern it did for '76, when we had snow right in to May i think it was followed by a red hot summer right the way through the summer holidays - ofcourse I only JUST remember that!

Well the start of brit summer time yesterday acording to the powers that be. Lets hope they wrong as is the norm after todays soaking!

Birds are all dong their bit early in the SE as far as I've seen so far so let's hope they on the right track..

Having said that I hate the summer for work as I not a heat resistant type! More so in my chainsaw get up hauling me self about the trees.
