As others have said, you're best forgetting the little battery machine for this job. The Hawksmoor is the type of machine you need, but if it could be regarded as " disposable". If it managed this one job, that would be a result.

Again, as already mentioned on here, the blade has to be a mulching blade, of the style of this one and vitally important above all, is to use an up and down motion, not side to side. That will result in the material being pulverised. If you go side to side, it will simply cut it in long and hard to handle lengths.                                       In all honesty, for the money you'd spend on suitable gear, it should be more cost effective to get someone in with the correct gear, and the required knowledge. Also, it's the most mind numbingly boring job I know of.

It say that that is a bush cutter, it looks very simular to a strimer or with a metal blade on it. Can I not just get a metal blade for mine the Bosch Strimmer Combi Trim Art 26. will that not just be as good as the one for hire?

Bush cutters?

Head cutters?

Trimmers?

Even if you can get a metal blade to fit (unlikely), your machine is just not up to the job. It would be like hitching a 3.5 ton trailer to a towbar on a battery powered fiat 500

- just not gonna work.

Several very knowledgeable people here have given you good answers - a lot of the guys on here do this for a living 👍

As has already been said.....that Bosch (or any Bosch garden product) is only suitable for light domestic gardening work, in gardens that are already well maintained to a good well kept standard...not for getting an overgrown garden back into shape.

You have the wrong tool for the job. You need a decent brush cutter (clues in the name) or a more heavy duty version of a brush cutter, called a clearing saw. Once you have it back into shape and you want to do some light edging work on inch long grass, then start using the Bosch (if it lasts)

You need IMHO to get/hire a 45cc-55cc machiene if you want to rasher down bramble and brush . A forestry clearing saw would be even better .

So you think a 26cc engine is to small and battery power no good then/

What is a forestry clearing saw?

I was not sure if the battery on my Bosh strimmer was not holding charge or it was simply not up to the job!

The hwksmoor I posted a link to from Toolsations web site, why do you think that? is (as last poster said) not enough engine cc size? or do you think it will just brake?

So the blades I posted a link to from screwfix no good then?

Do you mean hire a contractor? from the video i posted in the OP, how much do you think that would cost to do the job? what kind of contractor did you have in mind?

Anything will be better than what you're trying to use now. That Webb thing is a hedge cutter though, not much point in getting that unless you to plan to do more hedge cutting than ground clearance. As already said you need a Clearing Saw, Brush Cutter, or even a decent petrol Strimmer at a push. Or just hand tools and muscle.
