Sorry Dave but try reading it again - its AND not OR!

Two simple points

1 Try claiming on your insurance for a rigging failure/claim without 41.

2 Refresher is a refresher (eg LANTRA), not NPTC. NPTC does not go out of date, but again wait until you try to claim on insurance if you cant proove current competence.

Like many other things nobody will bother you, your insurance company will keep taking your premiums etc - until something goes wrong.

I get bored of hearing this "your insurance won't payout" tosh.

Please give me ONE example of this happening.

I was rigging before 41 even existed, so how was I insured then??:confused1:

Hopefully none of us will ever find out!

I did start a thread yonks ago hoping some insures would give us a definitive answer on if they would pay out if we didnt have this ticket or that ticket etc..

Surprisingly not one decided to help out, wonder why:sneaky2::sneaky2:

This “insurance won’t pay out” is a bit of an urban myth, I asked an underwriter (customer) about this and he says that for third party liability policies while they will defend their “exposure to loss” they do pay out, to the injured party but depending on circumstances, they may well want to recover the money from the insured.

Why do they never do this with drink drivers or speeders????

None of my insurance cos. have ever asked about NPTC units!

I have neither.

I do, however, have CS 39 - use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness.

But by the sound of things I'm not qualified to either prune trees or take them down.

What does 39 allow me to do exactly? Scratch my a*** with a chainsaw?
