Builders bags to 1m3

 its probably been asked to death but how many builders bags ov split logs will fill a 1m3 ibc crate thanks

Builders bags come in size 0.8 m per side, up to 1m per side.

 

0.8m side contains about 0.5 cubic metre (sometimes called a ton bag because that's a ton of sand)

1m side contains 1 cubic metre

Absolutely correct. One of my customers sometimes buys bags of logs from a log merchant in their log bags, which he rightly claims as 1 cubic metre. Compared to the 1 Tonne builders bags, they're huuuuuuuuuuge! Beware the folks advertising a cubic metre of firewood in builders bags, can't be done. 😉

They're usually the Facebook types, look at the £50 deal I got etc.

 

Yeap, I stack more in a barrow bag than half the Facebook fly-by-nights builders bags I've seen.

 

No point arguing with them either, as the next moaning post you'll see is it's wet or it won't burn what should I do 

 

Yeah there's a reason I have to charge more, because shock horror it's dry and it even burns!.

Have you got a chart showing the volume of wood in a cubic tonne?
