I put a GreenMech Quadchip on a chassis for fork loading on to a type B railway trolley for Network Rail. They could either load with pallet forks or hydraulic crane.

Been looking at pictures of quadchip, and trying to work out if it would work.

Can't find out how wide and long it is, and like the fold down spout.

Also been looking at 130.

So been thinking of doing this for a while, and over Christmas break done a bit more. I am thinking of making a chipper as a Skid unit that can be moved by small loader, the main reason is so I can move chipper and loader to site with one vehicle and trailer.

Has anyone else do this or seen something. Chipper would have to be something like the size of a Timberwolf 125.

Get a bigger trailer :dontknow: If you dont want a truck you can always put a dolly under the front of the trailer and pull it with the tractor.

There are plenty of Quadchips about but the 130 is too new to cut up!

Seen a couple of 130 at around £4000.old model. Aren't all greenmech bolted together, eg tow A frame and axles, so was just going to unbolt and mount on frame, so could be put back to what is was.

Thinking Quadchip maybe to heavy.

Sorry, was thinking of the new 135! Yes, 130 and 150 easy to unbolt drawbar and axle and built a stand for it! If it is a top bar machine then the height is less 600mm! The 13o and 15o shared all components less the engines and few bits n bobs!

So it's a chipper, that runs on tracks?

I think we should call it a tracked chipper :nurse:

What loader are you talking about? Worky quad type or Avant? I'm just wondering what one of those loaders weighs and how much payload you have left for the chipper?

My chipper is only 300kg but you want something decent to swallow the lumps of brash you have dragged with the loader.

My loader is a Tobroco 204 weight is 1530kg so got 1170kg left using ifor williams 3500kg. So using a sub 750kg chipper still under weight.

Would sit chipper at front of trailer with loader behind, most of the time would use chipper sitting on trailer.

It's the length of chipper so it will sit across trailer.
