That’s not how it works though.

I didn’t vote for the twats, but we live in a democracy.

Anyone who didn’t vote has forfeited their right to complain for the next five years.

Quite right, I added the last bit in to give a glimmer of hope to the unhappy.

Have to say mark, I think people are entitled to complain about a sitting government regardless if they voted or who they voted for.

The fact that you are forced to pay whatever they want and bide by whatever rule they come up with is reason enough to allow an opinion to be held.

As for the OP about this petition, it's just another construct that gives people the illusion their voice is heard. Ultimately the only voices heard are Unions and those few in a position to lobby ministers.

I have to disagree Doug.

If you can’t be bothered to get off your arse and vote then I don’t think you’re entitled to an opinion.

It’s like the people who come to watch my kids football moaning about the cold because they couldn’t be bothered to put a jumper and a jacket on.

It’s -2 and you’re wearing a t-shirt?

Sympathy level is pretty low.

I don’t want to be ruled by anyone so I’m not going to cross a box saying I do.

It’s an illusion of choice. You can pick red or blue. Makes no odds. You still get ruled.

Would you really want to live in a society without any rules though?

Public opinion brought down in my lifetime:  Thatcher, Blair, May, Johnson and Truss.

Fair point, hadn't even considered that.

Although Truss didn't really need the public's help!

Think it was more brought down by brown, Blair and dishy. Not sure about John Major, as the only interesting thing he did was Edwina and spitting image
