Never realised I had to submit a holiday request to this forum, if JohnsonD can update my holiday tracker for me, pop it down to "Community Engagement" if you could?

I am surprised a you though. A national ID card which can be available for all as a form of ID - under 15s without NI, and all those without a passport - is one of the tools that can be used to prove entitlement to services (doctors are a good example). I would have thought you'd be all over that idea to reduce the number of migrants accessing services that they are not entitled to, save the UK a few quid.

Government websites already have a single log in for access don't they so why not just extend that idea a little further to allow easier access to real life services?

You all ready carry your phone with you 24 hours a day, have an option to pop the ID details on an app, and access will be the same as paying for your Scotmid shop.

Or is this just another case of whatever Labour do = bad.

Ah the blagger returns, answer the simple  question put to you on another thread SP.

What is the point of even getting into any form of debate with an individual whom you know has a track record of just ignoring or refusing to acknowledge any questions that are a bit uncomfortable for him/her to answer.

I wouldn't even give him the skin off a bucket of cold piss, unless he can be more respectful and stop avoiding answering the questions.

Ahh, right so avoiding the current discussion on Labours plans for ID cards to try and have a cheap dig? OK.

Pop  back to a certain thread 42 🤷‍♂️you failed miserably my to provide proof of your accusations. As I said it’s the same pro types for that farce that see no problem with compulsory digital ID.

What exactly are you so afraid with the ID cards, what's the worst that could happen? It's just another number to go alongside DOB, PP#, DL#, NI# etc. No biggie. Governments are too incompetent to do anything sinister with it.

Are you scared that they're trying to microchip you again or something?

I don't think you really understood that did you SP, that wasn't a crowd cheering for you!.

You give opinions about absolutely everything even through you take zero responsibility.

But like all public servants, happy to take our cash but never happy to do as their instructed by the elected.

Why should I have to prove anything as I go about my day, unless I'm driving or using a service I should be able to remain unchallenged and that includes the police.

Let's use your terrible love of the system, if I have a accident. Will that clipboard warrior check my pockets or rouse me from my delirium to prove I'm a citizen 1st, or are they going to let me bleed out into the gutter ?.

Anyone else amused how the peeps howling for a certain member to reveal any and all information on here asked for are so vehemently anti ID card?

”cos why should I have to prove anything?”

That sounds like a massive paranoia that the UK will somehow overnight turn into a police state with the issue of a national ID card. If you look at the list of countries that have national ID cards, some carry them voluntarily (if you want to, else you leave them at home) and some you carry them all the time. Consider the UK and the countries that align closely to our values and way of life, such as France and Germany, their ID card systems it is voluntary to carry them. If you ever get to a situation where you need to produce them they are like old school days here where the traffic police gave you a producer, 14 days to pop in and show ID. Didn't hear much whinging about that system. Would all be computerised, much like the traffic police can check drivers license, MOT, Insurance.

So the only time in countries similar to ours where the police challenge you for ID is where they have a reason to and not for shits and giggles.

Again paranoia, an accident and you're left to die cause your pockets are empty, feck off, no, that would never happen.

Other countries very similar to ours do well with them. So lets get to it and ask what your fundamental problem is?

Don't think I'm walking around the streets on a public forum hollering my opinions out loud acting like I'm the font of all knowledge/opinions/public decency and morale arbiter after a Google search.

Most of us here have the common decency to express our opinions or knowledge of a subject from actual having done something and experiencing the world.

SP is like that fella in the pub that claims to have been abducted by aliens or just another Walter
