So convinced that Brexit was a good idea that he moved his Dyson headquarters to Singapore. It's alright though cos he employs 250 people, (I think I heard this morning) on his farms. I wonder how many are British as opposed to immigrants? What a guy. Another "Man of the People".

Dyson no doubt got into farming due to it being tax efficient for him but as far as I know his farms are very much working farms rather than just land being owned. A fair bit of what he does goes well beyond the basic farming stuff.

Beeswax farms if you are interested enough to look them up.

As far as farming in general goes I don't know why anyone does it from a business point of view, there are far easier ways to make a living.

It is probably worth a reminder that he also employees 3500 people in the UK in research and development etc; mainly at his Wiltshire academy, which has a very good reputation for it's apprenticeship scheme which has a starting salary of something like £23,000.

I am proud that I employ one and a half people in my business...

Whilst Dyson is obviously using the profits to buy farmland, by all accounts he does spend a lot on maintenance and building and equipment.

Probably as it's advantages tax offset wise, but all that is part of a company not a small farmer down the road.
