Eucalyptus tree..what to do?

I have a costumer who needs something done with a 40ft eucalyptus tree.

The tree is close to property and is growing from base into 4 stems. the stems are all leaning outwards. the client really wants to keep the tree but will remove it if it needs to be done.

I was thinking about bracing the tree ( all 4 stems together ) but i don't think this will be a long term solution.

Also the tree is also next to a 15ft retaining wall and i know that eucalyptus roots are invasive.

how do eucalyptus trees take to pruning? pollarding?

Is it worth saving or just remove it ?

will get pics on here here shortly.

Cheers

Martyn

Pursuade them that spending money on a Eucalyptus (in the situation you describe) is going to be a never ending process with no good end result.

Agreed.

Get rid of it Martyn and maybe plant something else further away from the house.
