I firmly believe that voting should be restricted to people who possess a basic level of reasoning and intelligence. 

 

I do not believe voting should be an automatic right when you turn 18. A test should a prerequisite to each and every visit to the ballot box.

 

We all agree with the concept " stupid should hurt", stupid should not vote.

Unfortunately we now live in a world where stupidity is rewarded and stupidity=big legal payouts.

 

I walked into a lamppost, coffee was hot, I walked through those barriers and fell in a hole, the parking ticket wasn't in Welsh etc.

 

Maybe the ban on smacking kids is the result?.

Possibly. Although I was smacked, and beaten regularly with the wooden spoon yet i'm still stupid.

Haha, I'm not saying beat them mercilessly, I was of that generation so the threat was there.

 

Are you Liverpudlian?, isn't that the joke about punching information out of suspect 😉

Me too. It stopped one day when she broke her mum's prized jam spoon on my knee, she cried, I ran, she learnt her lesson.

I think mine stopped the day I told her I couldn't go to school as I had PE that day and the teachers would see the marks when I was wearing shorts. Got me a day off school that, was worth the momentary pain.
