On the right line, eggs were sold at a penny each or a dozen for a shilling, 12 pennies. But what would be sold out of the front window of a terraced house by the dozen?

We had ‘em last time we wuz up there Egger (Burslem area - I had to take Mrs to The Vale to get a hoodie the week after Vale won something or other at Wembley. I took the Mrs and nipper up to Londinium, well, kinda. I dropped em at Amersham to get Metropolitan line into Wembley and I went up to Oxford to walk the dog. Then we went up to see the in-laws. Was going to give you a bell but was only a flying visit.
