I am sorry for being a "plonker"

 

People can only write from their own experience and this was a version of mine; working self employed and paying for my own tickets when I'd saved the cash. The sad part is that this is adjusted for inflation.

 

Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick and the derision is for rates being too high, in which case I am thankful to have been a lucky one.

I work for a small tree surgery firm our groundsman gets paid £110 with CS30/31 and first aid. He can easily earn more but he needs to develop more skills.

i kinda do, im at a loss where to find people who want to work, or even where to start looking.

it doesnt help that i expect excellence and im not tolerant of muppets and wetwipes and rake-leaners

as to working conditions theyre usually relaxed and easy, no shouting, and usually short days.

but a lada will never be a ferarri no matter how much you spend on it.

and a wetwipe will always be a wetwipe no matter how much you pay them.

you start on basic money, you show you can do the job, you get more money.

It really depends on the individual and what they bring to the table. I don't see any reason why a grounds person can't earn as much as £180 for the day depending on the role they were filling. they could be a team leader in charge of instructing the jobs and the general safety of the team, customer care, years of experience etc... however from what I've seen, most people struggle to get more than £150 for ground work unless its their own and id say on average probably looking at 100-120.
