I never got that New Wave Romantics stuff, just like I can only do a few heavy metal stuff anthems! I listened to some Free and Bad Company and thought that they were uncomplicated but easy on the ear too!

You should have thrown a plastic bottle of piss at them, firm but fair.

Unfortunately Mick I had just used the last one up on the Jehovah Whiteness . 🙂

I think some of you must be deaf. Personally I can listen to Mozart or Motorhead and find something to like about both genres.

Abba, Carpenters, Burt Bacharach, Zep, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Faure, Bruch, Mozart, Linkin Park etc.....all have written some fantastic riffs, tunes, songs etc

Overrated...much of this modern tat that is totally forgettable.

Paul McCartney, hasn't he had an entire career based entirely on being a bit friendly with Lennon once?

Quite true, but you gotta give it to him, he did pull it back with the frog song.

Got to admit, when I brought albums because of a single, I was usually disappointed! I've handful of albums that I don't fast forward......

I agree with a previous post about some right historic tunes that I like but just get the rest!

I agree with alot of what's been suggested.

David Bowie is my one, just can't get excited about his stuff unfortunately and fail to see the greatness in it.

The trouble with what's been mentioned so far is so much of it is simply overplayed, I'm sure when it came out it was all quite novel but as times gone on its just become boring. Bohemian rhapsody being an obvious one that springs to mind.

These days I appreciate simplicity  rather than too much going on. Johnny cash wrote some great songs using a few well selected chords.
