Turns out I didn’t buy the Noco one, I knew it was £90 though!

I got the Halfords own brand one instead, did zero research, total impulse purchase.

Unlike me, I usually research purchases to a Mendiplogs level of due diligence!

Time will tell if it’s as good as a Noco.

1300A for the same money, so I’m not totally gutted.

Yet….

It does.

If I need to jump start a vehicle more than once a day I would probably give up on life!

It’s not particularly difficult to recharge a decent flat battery, and as Dan said if it’s bolloxed then go and buy a new one!

Don't leave it to self discharge, my daughter's got left and wouldn't accept a charge. I recovered it but it has lost most of the oomph after 4 years.

Point taken mate, this will be regularly checked.

Full beans when I pulled it out today, according to the readout.

A very valid point though, they will all fail at the first hurdle if not fully charged.

The self discharging thing has made my mind up for me. Super-capacitor type it will be.

I think you are safe for a couple of months between charges, it's leaving it in the glove compartment for a year or so that is bad but I too like the idea of a supercapacitor one
