ISC TRIPLE ACTION SNAP LOCK CARABINER

Hi all

 

I recently purchased the  ISC TRIPLE ACTION SNAP LOCK CARABINER with swivel  .

 

 

How do you attach work positioner lanyard to it my lanyard has 2 spliced ends for ref.

 

I learnt with the larksfoot and prusik onto main line so im not sure how else to connect to my lanyard. 

 

Any help is much appreciated.

You can either cut one of the splices off and use a knot to tie it on, or use a connector like a maillon rapide.

Or cut one of the splices off and get it respliced back onto the snap

There is something very questionable about this method,or is only me?

If the shackles rated in theory it should be fine? The old komet harnesses used shackles for the bridge attachment. I’d be looking for a shackle that’s counter sunk and opened with an Allen key, with a nice bit of loctite for good measure

It’s not about a shackle ,but cable tie what bador me!

Think the cable tie is just to keep the splice cinched tight on the shackle, stop it flopping around?

I’m understand that, but good cable tie have pretty aggressive edges sometimes ,I personally see possibility of rope damage, very unlikely but possible.
