Other than patience and maybe a little bit of compromise. For a free chainsaw ticket it's worth jumping through a few minor hurdles, they're not asking you to strip and rebuild a chainy

Since you appear to have no interest in attending the course, can't you give the "free" place to someone who would appreciate it.

I would happily strip and rebuild theirs!!

Pulling out just because your pristine chainsaw might get dirty is akin to never having a dump in case your ring gets poo on it.

Don't do it! I turned up to course in my slippers, and would you believe it they said i had to wear my own boots to walk across the woodchip covered yard before i could get them under cover😱

They weren't bothered about the slippers, it was the ladies bathrobe leaving very little to the imagination!
