Dead oak tree

Hi

Im not sure this is in the relevent forum apology if not.

I have a huge Old dead Oak tree in my garden that needs to come down.

I was told a while back by a tree surgeon that thete is money in the tree, Id like to log the branches for the fire & sell the best of it if im able too, Where am i able to sell the wood please

Bit like there's money in a bag of flour if you sell it as cakes, it's a raw material which needs a lot of work.

 

Local selling pages, FB, network neighborhood. I can't see what's around the tree though, looks like a fair bit of work to dismantle so probably cost money to do.

Only cost in that I'm afraid. Nobody will do it for the firewood or the timber. There is a lot of work to get it down and then some serious kit to get the wood out. In short the cost of removal is more than it is worth 

 

You may get some money off if the timber stays on site.

i'd recommend you go back to the tree surgeon who said theres money in the tree.

To be fair the tree surgeon didn't say who the money in the tree would go to, I imagine them rubbing their hands together when they said it.

Maybe it's hollow and has a hoard of Roman gold coins in it.

You need to get the worldly wise tree surgeon with the Midas touch back and ask for a price to get the tree on the ground, all non valuable wood, small branches and rotten wood cleared from site. And ask him what the remaining wood is worth and whether he’s prepared to buy it? You will then be in a position to see if there’s money to be made. Either way that tree needs to come down?
