Tree cutting signs

Just wondering what tree cutting signs folk are using?

Are you using the composite style ones? Ones on a cone? Or the shitty floppy metal ones?

I've used them shitty metal leg ones for years and am sick of them blowing over and more recently getting run over with wagons etc.

Could do with a couple of new ones so thought I'd see what folks are using?

Composite ones look good and maybe not blow over but take up more room in truck and heavier.... cone ones look OK....

Owt else about?

We use a selection of signs, mainly the floppy tripod ones which are in the trailer kit for day to day stuff because they fit onto a full chip trailer easily, but they do get ragged and bent quickly. Not bad for blowing over if you hang a tub of oil or similar on the hook with a bungy cord. Also have the large folding metal roadside compliant ones which are solid and heavy, they only go out for road works though.

We do have composite speed limit signs for TM stuff and I think they'd be a good compromise. Light, handleable and stable if a little bulky for transport, definitely last longer than the tripod ones. Don't think I've ever used the cone ones.

On the DIY end of the spectrum - plastic saw horses, preprinted signs, some polycarb and a few strips of pallet wood.   The pallet wood had a few cuts on the table saw to make the housing for the signs.  Nice thing is that they're still saw horses, so you can weight them down with rounds.

I already had the sawhorses so for me this was a no brainer.
