Changing Handsaw Handle Colours

Heat shrink tube in flouro orange

Anyone with a spare Zubat handle and screws, or a blunt one, don't matter what length. Succumbed to loosing mine today, have spare blades so thought would ask 1st before buying a new one.

A pal of mine used one of those. A branch he was cutting snapped earlier than he expected, fell, caught the strop and dragged the silky through his hand, severing tendons and nerves as well I believe. They’re really such a s**t idea.

Only time I put a bungee on my Silky is if I am over a greenhouse/something equally brittle and costly. Otherwise they are a PITA, always snagging on everything.

I've a little loop of elastic cord through the handle of mine. When I reach for it out the scabbard just slip hand through then I can drop it to use 2 hands whenever and it just hangs from my wrist not causing any trouble, you can bend your wrist to grab it again for use.

It's always attached to you when out the scabbard and I can't think of dropping it once.

I'll give that a try, seems like a good simple idea.
