A common misconception Les, someone is paying for it bud.

Correct, we are all being taxed for them, it’s just down here we get taxed for them and still have to pay when we need them. Glad I very rarely need meds.

Look at the tax bands for Scotland Eggs, we definitely pay for them up here one way or another.

Free if you've got cancer. I would prefer to not have cancer and not need the drugs.

They do seem to dish them out like Smarties though, could open a pharmacy myself with the surplus. Haven't taken any of them for about 3 weeks. Anyone know the street price for morphine?

In my day everything within that bracket of pharmaceuticals was called a 'poundashot', with inflation they'll be at least a fiver now!

On a serious note, I've been impressed with the positive tone of your posts given what you've been dealing with lately.

Wish you all the best.

Guest Gimlet

I was prescribed steroid nasal spray for Rhinitis. Six months ago I was getting two little bottles per script for £9.70 The last one I got had gone down to one bottle, so effectively doubled the price. I've stopped taking it now. Cheeky bastards.

It paid off. Had my MRI results today and tumours have gone and no sign of cancer anywhere else in my body.

Told me it is still early days but 85% of people in early remission as I am remain cancer free at 5 year mark.

As good a result as possible, best get on with summat now. :)
