Best way of clearing a new build site of stumps

Had a client ring me up asking to clear the stumps on a new plot, they aren't planning on building thus year as still waiting planning approval for the design, no services put in. It's on an areas of cleared woodland - haven't measured it proper but max 1/4 acer - reckon there is about 120+ stumps. 30-60cm few boulders and stuff. First time really tackling such project, My initial response was to say wait until you plan to start the build get the digger to rip everything up but they want to put a static on the site for the summer and not trip over stumps.  Have access to big stump grinders and that's probably what i'm going to go with but wondering if people think it's better to go with the big digger and get the site cleared of everything in one hit?  It's much bigger project with the digger but would potentially save the client paying twice.  Any thoughts much appreciated.

Personally done sites like this and a decent tracked grinder such as a Carlton SP7015 TRX would rinse that in a couple of days with decent operator and teeth ! Just leaving the site clear enough to scrape off when they need to build ! The disposal of the footballs will be difficult and probably costly unless someone local will take them

and has a decent chipper set up with hammers to deal with dirty material!

Thanks for the input! Plan is now get my mates Bandit 265O then run over the site with a  ditchwitch with the flail mower to smash down all the scrub and brash that's been left by the clearance, a few bigger lumps of oak have been left and will probably pinch them myself as I've got folks asking after  buying chopping blocks.

Without wishing to derail the thread - we have about 35-40 spruce stumps to remove - the smaller ones I plan to dig out with our 2t digger, but I was planning to grind through the larger ones (typically 30 -120cm diameter).

Is there a general rule of thumb as to the break point between digging them up and grinding them down?
