What was shouted? Think it was "when I said go I meant GOOO!".

Cutter blaming the guy in the truck?

Truck probably just sat there spinning wheels. As with most trees being pulled with not a big enough machine, they go the wrong way.

With a rope that high that truck would have had to be rocket propelled to give enough speed to do anything meaningful.

Looks like that stem had the shape of a fidget spinner, no width to the hinge.

lucky no one was hurt

that Irish vid smashing the Landy though 🤦‍♂️

Sounds a bit like it, doesn't it.

Yeah stupid to blame the truck driver, when it was obviously the tree's fault.

Two idiots who didn’t know what they were doing.

The winch man needs as much skill as the feller. Wouldn’t have happened with a crew with some forestry experience.

There is a rope on it, from the truck.

We're talking about different videos. I was referring to the one here in Ireland. I tried to upload it but couldn't. Tree went wrong way and landed on a defender in someone's driveway. No rope visible, to me at least.

Oh yeah, saw that as well.

No idea what went on there.

A **************** up.

Just looked like the cutter thought it would go the other way, but I wasn't there and the video doesn't give the whole story.

Could have been a lot worse, no one hurt and relatively minor damage.

It'll be expensive but hey, everyone went home with all their bits intact.

The reason why the money is relatively high to do jobs like this, is because fook ups can happen, if there was no risk there’d be no reward, if there’s jeopardy, then there has to be failure.

Back in the day there were no camera phones, so stuff went unrecorded (thankfully)

Be grateful  stuff like this happens, it focuses the public’s mind when it come to choosing who they want to dismantle that big tree over their house, and give you some ammo if you’re more expensive than the other guy.
