Had cracked heads too on the kubota’s but not often, start with your possible injector issues first if need be, if you can’t get injectors out and head needs to come off then your local head engineer will confirm after facing/skimming/pressure testing is carried out if head is cracked

Have you got a fetish about injectors ? why start with a £300 - £800 job ? why not start with the cheaper option of £45 ? if its not the £45 option thats causing the problem it wont be a issue as £45 is not the end of the world but then that possible problem is eliminated, If you go the other way round injectors out and possible head off it will turn out a expensive starting point ??, from past experience with injectors on Kubota,s they have always come out with ease,,

At what hours do these issues arise?

I like the V1505 because it is simple and common enough for any local Ag dealer to fix.

Don't need to rely on a slack arsed chipper dealer.

If the oil level rises, the previously mentioned stain test is good but I would also consider the hydraulic system. Is there an oil pump driven off the timing chain in the engine? Have you an engine mounted hydraulic pump? It may be that the seals in this are poor and leaking hydraulic oil in to the pan. What colour is your hydraulic oil? If is darker than previous,  then engine oil may be getting through the seal in the pump as they mix.

I think she has 1300 or 1500 hrs on max ..

pete the whole hydraulics run off pto from chipper fly wheel but I will check.
I have the seal kit but our yard is frozen solid so waiting for temps to get up and get over this covid bout and I’ll get cracking , just hope it’s not crank bearing !

On those 3 webs there looks to be 3 threaded holes to " jack " it off once you have removed the center nut/bolt .

Right or left hand thread on centre bolt?

Should be to undo in the same direction it usually rotates when running . That way the tendancy is for it to tighten when running .
