You're spamming now mate.

I directly asked him in the comments if the snap was closed when he began spiking. Didn't answer. I can't see how a snap like that would go from closed to open while spiking, more likely it didn't lock closed from the ground and he didn't check. That video is pure clickinbait

Does not alter the fact they should all have been recalled.. If it were a car tyre say, it would have been recalled, it would not have been a case of you should take the wheels off and inspect them every trip, so not our problem.. If they know this type of failure is possible, they should all have been recalled

Those triple snap things can be hard to open, they don’t just fall open. One bad one doesn’t necessarily mean they need a recall.

If proper inspections of climbing kit are done you should find problems like a sticky gate long before it fails.

Check your krabs then check them again when they are in use and that all is functioning , any are liable to fail or stick no matter what make, I've had nearly new DMMs fail on me ... but as for the isc snap locks ....I'd never use a snap lock of any make any way , can't stand the things.

There was me thinking we should be checking kit before a climb? Wouldn't surprise me if there was something amiss before the climb.  He even admitted not doing a check on it prior to climbing

The point was, that ISC say the changed the design. How many times have you been in say, Tesco, and you have seen stuff about recalls saying that "there is a remote possibility that" etc, and all stuff is recalled.

People falling out of trees is apparently not serious enough.. The makers changed the design, perhaps they would be good enough to explain WHY and what they did??

That's all that could be said about it in my view..

I'm not watching that video again, can't stand the bloke. Why don't you email ISC and ask them rather than ranting on here after a YouTube video has you all impassioned.
