I have a husqvarna 545. I run it with an 18 inch bar and 3/8 chain, I find it a bit tougher and less likely to flick off when cutting small stuff and mashing up brash. I drilled the exhaust out. Probably best not to do that. Fantastic saw until the piston shit itself. Loved it for chogging down and mashing thorn hedges on the lines

Have an 18" bar on my 550xp2 and it is great, use for hardwood logging and ground cutting/harvesting, timber up to 24" diameter so far and the power (3kW) is fine. Low weight so good for using hours on end and good fuel efficiency.
