Lidl extendable tree looper

I’ve got a few fruit trees to prune this winter - only three or four. Can’t decide whether to buy a (homeowner) pole electric pruner or risk a few quid on one of these - anyone used one?

It is tempting at £13…

I used one the other day without the saw on when I was subbing on a small reduction and was impressed even more so when he said it was from Liddle for less than £15! , wether it would last for commercial use is another thing ! But would definitely be worth it for a few small trees.

i'm 50-50 with Parkside tools, some work really really well, some are a bit of a waste of time. Often it all depends who the actual manifacturer is, I am led to believe that parkside just re-badge stuff rather than make their own (so I have a great battery drill, disk sander (similar thing I think, battery and a motor) is a bit meh)

I'd say then it is worth a shot for a small amount of work, it might suprise you

Got the lidl or aldi own version of  a silky saw for 5 quid didn't cut at all. Tried sharpening it  & still terrible so wouldn't think the pole saw will be very useful

lopper part might work though

I got one and used the saw to trim branches out of the crown of a cherry tree that was taking quite a lot of light out of the garden. Did okay cutting branches up to 2” with the saw. Lopper seems alright for stuff up to about three quarters of an inch.

Happy enough with that compared to the other options of climbing / ladders.
