Post a pic of the full outfit loaded up Mike before you set off on the journey, i still think it could be sitting nose heavy from your original tellings causing the brakes to be binding from the off.

New damper fitted this morning. They kindly gave it to me for cost price, but the same god dam problem persists.

 

I have had 2 independent Ifor Williams dealers go over the whole brake system and they can't find fault. 

 

Hopefully the trailer will go up in flames soon so the issue is over 🤣🙈😂

I'll get a snap, but it runs level and nicely flat overall.

Have you actually weighed it? Is it definitely light enough to drag around?

Have you looked into my original theory? The slider part of the hitch could be bent slightly so it doesnt retract fully when the brakes applied with a heavy load, hence the problem

Is the driver heavy footed on the gas & brake?

 

If you cant find a physical issue that's about all that's left.

 

Are the brakes over adjusted?

 

Have you tried the same load on another trailer that is the same?

When we replaced the damper we checked it, seemed fine.

I'm a very caution driver, slow and steady! Use my gearbox to slow down where possible, and try to avoid heavy braking. 

 

Funnily enough, when I initially had the problem I borrowed a mates 16ft twin axle trailer. One wheel get very hot on that too!
