Careful using a compressed air pistol, especially with ally. If you're not square on its easy to bend the fins and reduce airflow.

You’d need some serious psi to do that. It’s folk being careless with the nozzle end that bends fins.

It’s a dull subject I know but..

 

My TW 150 overheated and shut down fairly regularly, so I took off the rad (so simple even I can do it) and put it on the floor and used a high pressure hose on it then an airline to dry it off before refitting. It was astonishing the amount of crap that came off.

Never had an issue after that.

 

Not as easy getting the rad off the Schliesing but something I’ll look at.

We always run the blower over the rad after every job it's good practice! 
 
New chippers air cooled any how now lol [emoji3]
My JoBeau is air cooled, ducting round the engine is a perfect chip trap and even had a fire round the front spark plug in the first hot summer I had it.

Made a little house for the engine now so the chip doesn't fall on it.
