They probably had knackered blades too 😂 how often do you get yours sharpened?

When they need it. I’m obsessed about blades and anvil condition.

I would say that the switch is reveresed, k

That's what I thought but it's one of those magnetic/eddy switches.

Just annoys me as it's like having a warning light on the dash of a car 😂

He other point of note (in my mind) on blades is if you let them get to bad the sharpening cost goes up and as they have to grind more blade away to get a good edge so you get less sharpens per set = higher cost.
But I guess the counter argument is more hours between sharpening intervals will evan the number of hours per blade set.

Think the contractor that done this chipping for the council needs to have a look at his blades and anvils! 🤣🤣

They're nice at the moment but I'll get em sharpened as and when!

Try and keep two or three sets so you’ve always got a set or two in reserve.

Not a bad idea. I'll add that to the list of things I want to buy at the moment. Top of that list is a stein bollard as Im not a huge fan of the flying capstan.

In relation to the screen, I posted up on the forst forum and they said that it's normal to have that highlighted which is still weird to me, like a red oil can on a car dashboard to show you have oil pressure but I don't make the rules 😂

The blades are excellent quality. I used to change the blades on my Timberwolf every 5-10 days depending on volume of chipping. The bigger blades on the TR8 have been way better. Check weekly but have had the blades in 4-6 weeks before they needed a tickle up. Depending on what it’s been chipping. Stick with the manufacturer blades and also change the little grip washers each time. Forst will post you a bunch out.
