I was joking - plenty of people won't burn softwood, whether it's free or not. Benefits me as I get it dumped round here where I can use it to keep my house warm!

I burn softwood and hardwood almost equally. More softwood in the Range in the Kitchen and Hard in the living room.

Ours gets all mixed up, a mix of woods we find is best to get the best out of it.
