Yes I still use mine occasionally but have to be a bit careful with it as it has started running a bit weak and I haven't got round to seeing why. The 346 I recently rebuilt is my go to saw now and any one of 3 262s which are over 30 years old now if something needs a bit of grunt. I haven't had the bigger saws out for many years, too heavy and too  difficult to pull over.

My guess would be an air leak .   Fuel hose , crank seals carb boot etc etc .

Yes I suspect crank seal and probably clutch side crankcase bearing wear

Well yesterday, got asked what this would be worth, runs very true hand or foot treadle. With makers plate. Anyone got an idea.

So here is the front of the building,turns out there was a house to the left which has totally fallen down now and this building was used for housing livestock and feed stored upstairs,it was a small holding with about 10 acres of land with it 

I think the reason for the arches is that they’d store the cattle in them which would warm the dwelling above , or so I was told the other day at a very similar building !

I've had a look at some historical auction prices and I'd say only about £50, poss £100 depending on size and condition in an auction. I'm sure someone would pay more for it if it was in a shop.

It's really bad to see them like this. I am also a farmer. While being natural, the result is frustration when there is no medicine. 😒
