cold weather climbing gloves

HI did a search but came up with 1700 threads but couldnt see an answer.

Wondering what gloves you use for climbing when it gets cold and wet.

Cold is ok but when wet its just nasty.

My guys are old school and still use prussic sliders. we use the yellow/ orange grip type gloves but when its wet they suck it up and turn to ice on the hands.

Ive got a pair of the rubber thermal gloves but if u climb the prussic slider grabs it and rips it to pieces in seconds so no good.

any recommendations based on actual use be greatly appreciated!

I usually use Showa 310. Tried a pair of 451 which are supposed to be thermal and they were good Sunday in the ice but it was dry, not sure anything is going to be really good when cold and wet.

These are probably the best I’ve found Steve.

Darrin made a comment about the wrists earlier, having a base layer with thumb loops under the gloves definitely helps my crap circulation hands.

 

As regards to ripping up the rubber with your hitch, I’m sure I’ve seen some kind of hitch-tender on here before?

Maybe it was just a small DMM ring above the hitch or something.
