I’m not interested in the fight over who’s is best or the original, I needed a tracked machine for a job if both colours of green came on tracks I would of considered both. Then the British made would prob of won just because it’s british made.

@equip4ind the book needs to show more detail on setting anvil and blade clearances he rest is good enough for anyone with half a brain ??

I'm not interested in this buy British mentality or buy french over here....

to make such a blatant copy however is at best incredibly distasteful.

it's like when you used to copy someone else's homework, you at least had the sense and decency to change a few lines!

did they have the paint left over from their former GM relationship?

I’m not worried about buying British because it’s british more because the day it goes wrong (either from user error or mechanical failure) you can pick the phone up so if greenmech had done a tracked cs100 then I would of prob had that rather than the peruzzo simply because I could pick the phone up and speak to someone in my language rather than having another barrier in the way of getting working again. The man that made the machine knows more than the dealer in most cases however good the dealer is. Practical rather than patriotic reasons.

As to the copying side of it I didn’t know at the time how much of a copy it was but at the end of the day a wheel is still a wheel and can only be reinvented so many times and still be a wheel.

Ours didn't!...spent an hour and a half trying to strip it down to go thru 700mm door...no chance. Ended up leaving the brash stacked in the garden for the customer to burn and a six O'clock finish! [emoji849]

At least we had the decency to say "brilliant machine but a tad too dear for UK market, please get your prices right!" They said that the price stayed the same. We said that if they wouldn't build to shoot UK price structure, we would. They said that they wouldn't so we did so that you could have a professional kit that retained value! Just saying.....
