I love these little fellas as much as I hate dragging, but out of all my customers since last year who I have asked if they want to keep the chips, guess how many have said yes?

Clue - it's less than one.

I find getting most domestic trees on the deck a piece of p*** these days TBH. People are paying me to get rid of the arisings more than anything.

I'm not knocking these great little machines, I just can't see where they would fit in with my client base.

if its not for you then mark then dont buy one, they are wee chippers that chip wee stuff simples, if you can get it close to the tree and save dragging and leave stuff onsite then you are onto a winner, if not then its back to being a wee chipper, lol. but chipping and carrying out chip is far easier and cleaner aswell with zero tidy up of the lawns and drive/pavement/rd. I laughed the first time i did this with a gardener i was cutting for, he said he will take all the chippings off site in wheely bins, i shook my head and just got on with it, he alternated 4 bins, we used a tracked chipper, the drag was easy 100 yards, he tipped them into ton sacks, we finished, no clearing up and he had about 10 bags of mulch at £40 a bag, not daft, thats why he is building a million pound house just now and is the same age as me and works himself:thumbup1: so i took his leed:biggrin:
