They're all much the same. I've used gtm, greenmech, lumag and jansen machines and there is very little between them all.

Keeping blades razor sharp is the key to them all.

Id say get whichever one has the swivel chute and biggest tyres for the money you want to spend.

Wouldn't focus too much on which brand it is. Saying that I'm happier with my gtm than I would have been with a lumag, build quality is a bit better, again not a lot in it.

I’ve used several Chinese variants, all similar in performance and build quality, all generally can punch above their weight, any would do the job.
A second hand Greenmech CS100 and Jo Beau M300 can be sourced regularly in great condition, build quality and performance are better and they have decent resale value if looked after.

Hi Guys

I have only read part of this entertaining thread, so forgive me if this is answered elsewhere.
We think we want a PTO chipper for occasional work in the woods and garden, including mulching scabs from our wee mill.
Local dealers offer either Remet or Jansen. Any preference between the two? I assume they’re both generic Chinese manufactured machines - we’re talking c €2,000 so I’m not expecting great quality, but would rather not buy a complete pup. To hang off the back of a Ford 4000.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Ed
