Oak tree for sale/fell

You are never going to be rich charging £750 to cut a tree down that size unless you can sell the wood. I would grind the stump away at that price. [emoji12]

Not really if it saves you half a day moving timber... Arb timber arisings are fine if they are for your own use and you have the time and patience to process ,dry store and deliver .. if your in the serious market of doing firewood you want stuff that is easy to stack on the log deck and get in a processor and won’t have the seasoning time of oak...that is the last thing you want in your log heaps!
Easy day for a team of three if it’s all left there and only the chips are removed.

Whether you SRT over it or strip it in the way up.  It is still a pain to deal with and to clear from the floor.

 

750 is cheap for that tree.  IMO

260 working days in a year 

260x750 = 195000 turnover per year.

I don’t call that a bad figure for a two man team, especially if one is a brash dragger on a small wage.

Sometimes it’s like climbing a spiky hedgehog.  I prefer it live tbh.  It least it is flexible and the weight of the foliage helps you to peel it off the tree.

I refer to almost all houses in the UK as rabbit hutches. 
 
On a serious note, the houses are patently architecturally awful. The only redeeming feature of that I can see is the oak tree in the front garden. The house was purchased with the tree already standing in the garden - why buy the house if the intention is to fell the tree?
 
Does my head in. Developers pack shitty little houses onto postage stamp sized plots, leave the odd token tree than invariably ends up getting felled when someone buys a house and doesn't like the tree.
