Chipper theft - How long to be paid out?

Our 2019 Forst ST8 on low hours was nicked from our yard in Hertford on the 2nd December.

Does anyone know how long it typically takes to get paid out? Have been chasing them every other day, every single item of proof, valuation from forst, pictures etc has been supplied same day to their request.

We are now 2 full weeks from the day of the theft and just keep getting told, ' We are waiting on a response from the underwriter'

At what point is it taking too long? Obviously we need to get back to work and hiring chippers is getting expensive.

Insurance is with Trust but they are not the underwriter. Any experience or advice would be appreciated.

That would not be ideal to say the least

Quick enough to take my money.

No idea why it takes them so long, its clear cut.

I don't remember the exact time but I was paid within a couple of weeks when my trailer went, that was in 2018. This year I think every office process is slower because of people working from home.

.... So more people working from means less home thefts = lower premiums next round of issue. K

Just checked, there's a list of exemptions about 3 pages long covering every possible get out.

There's no reimbursement for hire, ergo, no inclination to speed up the process.

I suppose until you've had a claim its hard to find out exactly what you want and need from a policy.

Although i suspect most policies exempt anything that is helpful.
